The Story of Lone Star Rodeo

Lone Star Rodeo was founded in Marfa, Texas by Preston Fowlkes, Sr., with a vision of bringing the excitement of rodeo directly to fans in the Southeast. Today, Lone Star Rodeo Company operates from a 660-acre ranch in Crofton, Kentucky, where the Fowlkes family has carried on a tradition of excellence, pageantry, and family entertainment for over 40 years.

Now led by Preston Fowlkes, Jr., and supported by the entire Fowlkes family, Lone Star Rodeo Company has expanded to produce more than 40 events per year across 13 states. From the Limestone County Sheriff’s Arena in Athens, AL, to the Chesapeake Bay in Salisbury, MD, and iconic venues like the Horse Center in Lexington, VA, and the Calsonic Arena in Shelbyville, TN, Lone Star Rodeo brings fans the best in western-style, family-friendly entertainment.

At each event, we strive to honor the tradition and thrill of rodeo, providing audiences with unforgettable experiences that showcase the skill and spirit of America’s cowboy culture.
