Preston C. Fowlkes, Sr.

Creator of the Legacy

Born in Marfa, Texas, Preston Sr. was the original “cowboy’s cowboy.” Moving to Franklin, Tennessee in 1949, he launched his first rodeo, marking the beginning of a legacy. Known for his rugged authenticity and dedication, he laid the foundation for what would become Lone Star Rodeo, originally known as Preston C. Fowlkes Rodeo.
